Meeting was called to order by President Rob Hegenbarth at 7:05 p.m. with 10 members present: Sandy Bruns, Vince Hatting, Dan Grote, Denny Hatting, Dave Van Beest, Doug Martin, Kristi Hegenbarth, Mike Hatting, Cindy Hatting, and Rob Hegenbarth.
Minutes of July 28, 2010, meeting were read at August 11, 2010, meeting. Minutes of August 11, 2010, meeting were read. Dan Grote made a motion, seconded by Dave Van Beest, minutes of July 28 and August 11 meetings stand approved as read. Motion carried.
Sandy presented a bill from Prairie Queen Bakery in the amount of $45.60 for brat buns. Sandy Bruns made a motion, seconded by Dan Groote, to pay the bill to Prairie Queen Bakery.

Application· Receiver Hitches – Merwin Kruger presented two sample designs of receiver hitch covers. He indicated that when ordering individuals need to specify size – 1¼“, 1¼“ for van, or 2”. Merwin will make up an order form. Rob Hegenbarth will e-mail picture to other Iowa Rider groups and will scan brochure and post it on the website. Merwin will also make up a sample cover with “Sheldon Eagles 2297”.
· Labor Day – The following was discussed.
ü Work schedule for set-up beginning at 6:30 a.m. and selling tickets from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
ü Bikes on display by camper.
ü VISA card to be included with prize – Kristi will get the card on Friday and get to Dave.
ü Banner – Will try to hang it on the awning. Dave will get another banner that says “Celebration Days Buy Tickets Here” that will be posted on backside of camper.
ü Will make certificates to be put in large envelope for a number of the prizes.
ü Will make a contact card to give to the winner.
ü Camper will be set up at the park on Friday afternoon.
· Club Street Dance Saturday, September 4 – Need volunteers to help set up and help during dance. Anyone interested should call Julie at the club.
· T-Shirts – Rob Hegenbarth has the names of several vendors. He will contact them regarding costs.

New Business
· Meetings will move back to Thursday evenings beginning in September.
· Rob Hegenbarth received a bid of $91.68 plus shipping and handling for 500 2”x2” Eagle Rider window clings. Vince Hatting made a motion, seconded by Doug Martin, to give Rob authority to purchase the window clings. Clings will be given away as promotion item.
· Rob Hegenbarth reported that he showed Dennis and Patty Walkup the new club Saturday, August 14. Dennis asked if Sheldon Eagle Riders would like to host the 2011 State Eagle Rider Rally. He indicated the host sets the date and event activities. Doug Martin made a motion, seconded by Dan Groote, that Rob tell Dennis that Sheldon is interested in hosting the 2011 Rally.
· New Rides
ü Saturday, August 28, Independent Riders out of Remsen will be riding through Sheldon on their toy run. If interested in riding, registration is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cost is $10.00 per person plus a toy.
ü Saturday, August 28, “Here’s to the Heroes” benefit ride for Kyle Lloyd, an injured soldier, out of Dingers Bar of Le Mars. Registration 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cost $10.00, includes food.
· Vince Hatting stated a ride out of Paullina gave away a 2 night 3 day trip to Las Vegas as first prize and the proceeds went to school supplies – something to think about for future poker runs.
· Kristi Hegenbarth passed around a list of the donations by the Riders since the start of the group.
· Kristi Hegenbarth reported that she could not find that the $500.00 donation to the Diabetes Research Center from the proceeds of the poker run had been sent. She will write and mail the check as soon as possible.
· Third Annual Tailgate Party is scheduled for Saturday, September 18. Anyone interested in signing up for the grill-off needs to do so by September 11.
· Jason Kunkel lost his garage and all contents in a recent fire. After discussion, the decision was made to wait and see how insurance covers the losses.
September Meetings
9th – 6:00 p.m. meet at club, ride to Pete’s in Ashton for supper and meeting.
23rd – 7:00 p.m. meeting at Club.
